Isabel in Ireland

Dear all, Happy St. Patrick's Day. I've pirated Isabel's blog for just one session. Her pictures (and words) will return tonight, but I thought that my camera might do Western Ireland some justice. Here is Isabel with her cousin Lucy and Uncle Chris a few kilometers from their house in Ballina, County Mayo.

This is a view from down the coastal road of the windy cliffs and sea stack we visited on Sunday.

This is an old abbey not far from the top picture, near Ballina.

And this is the view from Ceide Fields, an ancient settlement where there are extensive archeaological excavations, but clearly the views out to the ocean take the cake. Isabel and I had a great visit with my brother, sister-in-law Trish and her cousins, Alex and Lucy.
